History

The Festive Brass is celebrating its fourteenth season as one of the most unique performing groups on the Grand Stand. The Festive Brass began as just eight pieces in 1998 and has grown to a 30-piece British style brass band and the Festive Brass Quintet. The band is composed of professional musicians, dedicated amateurs and gifted high school students.

The Festive Brass continues to be an integral part of our community, performing annually the Memorial and Veteran's Day celebrations in Myrtle Beach, Christmas Concerts throughout the area, Concerts in the Parks in Market Common and Valor Park.

The Festive Brass is honored to perform the opening concert for Cam-Am week in Myrtle Beach for the past several years.

The band's repertoire is broad, featuring music for audiences of all ages and musical tastes. From Sousa and British marches to Broadway tunes, light classical and popular melodies, you will certainly be entertainer by the Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach.
