Franceen De Cicco
Music Director

Franceen De Cicco is originally from the New York Metropolitan area where she was a free lance french hornist and musical educator. She moved to the Grand Strand in 2004. Mrs. De Cicco holds a BA Degree in music as well as an MA Degree in Music Performance and MS in Music Education all from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. She was the Music Director for St. John's Academy for 20 years until her retirement in 2004. She held the positions of brass mentor and associate conductor for the Rockland Youth Philharmonic. She was co-founder and director of brass studies for the Rockland Summer Institute of Orchestral and Chamber Music Studies along with colleagues from the NY Philharmonic. Mrs. De Cicco has performed with the Westchester Philharmonic, Hudson Valley Philharmonic and in pit orchestras for such Broadways shows as "Les Mis", "Cats" and "The King and I". She feels extremely fortunate to have been able to make a contribution to the education and enjoyment of music for those she has touched.

She has been married to her husband, Joseph, for thirty years. They have three children and, for the moment, two grandchildren.

Apart from music, she enjoys cooking and restoring classic cars with her husband.
